Description
For some families, vacations always mean multiple generations traveling together, making time for each other, enjoying activities together. Activities like a car show perhaps. Yup, just like a car show. A great example is Automotion, Wisconsin Dells’ annual tribute to chrome, cool paint jobs and incredible restorations of cars and trucks.
All spectator parking is at the Tommy Bartlett Show lot, 560 Wisconsin Dells Parkway. Shuttle service sponsored by the Original Wisconsin Ducks® and Dells Boat Tours®. Schedule subject to change.

Description
Food, fun and more are in store for the Elwyn Day Festival & 5K, which will be held Saturday, May 19, 2012 on the Elwyn Media campus.
The Elwyn Day Festival, previously held in the fall, has combined with the annual Elwyn 5K to create an entire day dedicated to celebrating the community and the individuals Elwyn serves. Presenting a “Mummers” theme, the festivities kick off with the 5K Run/Walk registration at 8 a.m.
Now in its sixth year, Elwyn is partnering with the Delco Road Runners Club to host the 5K Run/Walk on Elwyn’s historic 400-acre campus. Serving as this year’s 5K Honorary Chairman is Jay Culotta, Treasurer of Wawa, Inc. The course covers macadam roads, grassy trails and rolling hills. Registration includes a race T-shirt and refreshments. Cash prizes will be awarded to the first, second and third place male and female finishers, as well as, the top male and female in the Masters Division. Prizes will be awarded to the top three male and female finishers in 10-year age brackets from 19-and-under through 60-and-over.
Click here for 5K online registration. After the prizes are awarded, the Elwyn Day Festival activities commence at 11 a.m.
The Festival, a longstanding tradition at Elwyn, is a day full of activities and entertainment for adults and children with disabilities, their families, supporters, friends, Elwyn staff and the local community. Serving as the Grand Marshal is Carl Cherkin, Vice President of Business Relations for the Philadelphia Union. Along with the Philadelphia Union and Wawa, Philadelphia Independence Blue Cross and Sun East Federal Credit Union are title sponsors for the event.
The Festival features a variety of activities and entertainment for all ages, including soccer games provided by The Philadelphia Union, the Philadelphia Zoo on Wheels, the Development Center’s Family Fun Day, a fresh produce sale by Greener Partners, live music by actor Chris Burke, from the ABC hit television show “Life Goes On”, and his band, and much more.
The Elwyn Day Festival & 5K are made possible by Elwyn staff, Board members, families and community volunteers.
For more information and to learn about volunteer opportunities for the Elwyn Day Festival, please contact Justine Sweeney, Elwyn Development Associate at 610-891-2603 or justine_sweeney@elwyn.org. For more information on the Elwyn 5K Run/Walk, please contact Kevin Leitzell, Communications Associate, at 610-891-2580 or kevin_leitzell@elwyn.org.

Description
Immerse yourself in a delightfully eccentric day of Wonky races and games, live music, burlesque, comedy, organic BBQ, street art, a tattoo parlour, mustache vendor, photobooths, badge making, fire juggling and more shenanigans. Expect the likes of space hopper races, tug of Wonk, giant egg & spoon race, sock wrestling, Wonky triathlon, hula hoop keepy uppies and comedy commentary plus many other capers in Ginglik’s outdoor Olympic arena on Shepherds Bush Green.
After their hugely successful outing at last years Secret Garden Party, Ginglik’s friends The Wonky Races Crew have fashioned some delightfully bonkers Olympic events. All alongside live music & DJ’s, comedy, a terribly tasty organic BBQ, Then in the evening more japes and killer beats from bands and DJ’s that might just blow you moustache off!
The diverse musical offerings include, Puncture Kit who transforms his trusty push bike into a drum kit, Fiona Bevan’s luscious folk, The Folly Mixtures sparkling and sexy burlesque, AGT Rave Cru: the Chaz & Dave of rave, melodic rock from Ben Montague, jump up dub, punk & ska from Popes of Chillitown, vintage voodoo from Count Sizzle and much more!
Let the games begin!
Participation in the games is not mandatory, but moustache wearing for men and women is a must. Collect your free moustache and go faster sweatbands on entry

About the Apollo Theater
The Apollo is a national treasure that has had significant impact on the development of American culture and its popularity around the world. Since introducing the first Amateur Night contests in 1934, the Apollo Theater has played a major role in cultivating artists and in the emergence of innovative musical genres including jazz, swing, bebop, R&B, gospel, blues, soul, and hip-hop. Ella Fitzgerald, Sarah Vaughan, Billie Holiday, Sammy Davis, Jr., James Brown, Michael Jackson, Bill Cosby, Gladys Knight, Luther Vandross, D’Angelo, Lauryn Hill, and countless others began their road to stardom on the Apollo’s stage. The Apollo Theater’s new artistic vision builds on its legacy. New Apollo programming has music as its core, driving large scale and more intimate music, dance and theater presentations. The Apollo will continue to present historically relevant presentations, as well as more forward-looking, contemporary work. Based on its cultural significance and architecture, the Apollo Theater received state and city landmark designation in 1983 and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Description
Come out and stretch your legs biking to the Farmer’s Markets of Houston to shop for local organic produce! Hop on your bike and let’s take a ride through the side streets, trails, and residential areas in the heart of Houston. This is a very social ride and all levels of riders are welcome. We will start the morning off with coffee at Onion Creek and then cruise through 2-3 markets to shop for fresh produce, sauces, jams, and bread. This is a 12-15 mile ride that lasts about three hours so bring plenty of water and a backpack to carry your goodies! If you’d like to join us but don’t own a bike, West End Bicycles rents bikes for $25 per day at 713/861-2271 or www.westendbikes.com.
If you are a member of Bayou City Outdoors and do not have a bike, we can loan you a bike for the ride. But you MUST call the office one week in advance to arrange for the loaner bike. Meet at Onion Creek, 3106 White Oak Dr, Houston, TX 77007. Please DO NOT park in the Onion Creek lot – there is parking on the surrounding streets but look out for ‘no parking’ signs. Meet at 8:00AM – leave at 8:30AM – Noon. Free for Members and Non-Members alike. RSVP 713-524-3567 or www.BayouCityOutdoors.com
